A selection of the kinds of studio, lighting, sound and live work our crew handles, described by approach and detail.

Selected work

Studio and live production work, shown by approach

These entries describe the sort of work we carry out across studios and live events. Each one notes what was planned and the practical detail that mattered most to the crew.

  1. Compact television studio layout

A floor plan for a small studio, placing the set, three camera positions and a monitor wall so presenters and operators could move without crossing sightlines. Cable routes were drawn before any equipment was installed.

  2. Multi-camera control room setup

Camera control units and remote heads configured for a multi-camera show, with shading matched across cameras. A labelled patch sheet was left with the engineers for future changes.

  3. Studio lighting rig for a talk programme

A lighting plot balanced for camera exposure and presenter comfort, with key, fill and background layers drawn onto the set plan. Fixtures were positioned to leave room for boom microphones.

  4. Conference audio and live mix

Microphone selection, mixing and monitoring for a daytime conference with a live feed. Line checks were carried out the evening before so speakers began on time.

  5. Concert vision mixing and routing

Signal routing and vision mixing for a staged concert, with cue sheets prepared alongside the lighting team. Backup paths were tested before doors opened.

  6. Post-production workflow review

A review of ingest, editing, review and delivery steps for a production team, mapped on a single sheet. It identified where files waited for approval and where handovers could be reduced.

Who we work for

The kinds of teams that use our services

Our work is aimed at people who make television and run live events. The groups below describe typical audiences and what they usually need from us. They are categories of client, not a list of named customers.

  • Television network engineers

Technical teams who need studio layouts, camera control setup and signal routing that their own staff can operate and maintain after handover.

  • Programme producers

Producers planning shoots who need lighting, sound and crew organised so recording days run to schedule, with clear notes on what happens when.

  • Live event organisers

Organisers of conferences and concerts who need vision mixing, sound and routing supplied by a crew that rehearses and reports plainly on venue limits.

  • Independent production companies

Smaller companies without a permanent technical department who rely on us for studio design, camera systems and workflow advice as projects come in.

  • Post-production coordinators

Coordinators looking at ingest, editing, review and delivery who want a straightforward review of handovers and waiting points in their current process.

  • Venue and studio operators

Operators of rooms used for filming or events who need acoustic advice, cabling plans and lighting rigs that suit many different productions.
